We have not had any rain in the Fort Smith area since June 1st, so I found this shot on Falling Water Creek back in April at the gathering that reminded me of the days when we had plenty of rain!

Nice picture Tom. It reminds me that we get what mother nature gives us weather wise. It's scortching in Kansas and no rain in sight.
Water texture in the forefront is excellent! as is the entire stream.
The white streaks in the forefront with darker background I find very pleasing.
Wonder it the water was "hued" or "darkened" a tad what that would do???

So that is what running water looks like :). Very well done. I actually saw rain in Colorado Springs last week; they have been extremely dry also. It has been quite a while here in central KS since we saw any significant rain :(.
As usual Tom very nicely done...I was lucky enough to share tripod holes with you that evening. For anyone who has seen this piece of stream this capture just nails the whole feeling of the spot.
As far as running water I would love to get to the Great Smokies as I am sure most of the medium and larger creeks are flowing at mid and lower elevations. Do not forget how jealous we are of our RM forum friends who are in the midst of waterfalls and wildflowers. Headed out that way soon Tom?
Bob, it was fun shooting that afternoon, I was hoping to get to Colorado this week actually but other obligations have forced me to stay close. I am hoping to get out there soon!

Yeah Tom, it was just about this time last year I was loading up my Trailblazer for a few days in CO with you, Rod & Bill. I had such a good time on that trip (despite my whining about the lightning & hail). I even came away with a couple of keeper images. Hope to do that again some day.

I like the shutter speed, it really captures the flow of the water nicely.
Great shot!
