Anyone know current info on this stock compnay, who has contacted me with a personal letter? (that could easily have been sent to 1000 people)

I see, thru a Google search, some fairly negative stuff from another photography forum, but that was from 2008-2009.

I was contacted a year or two ago by AKM with a letter also Sandy. After reading the fine print and the negatives on the internet..I gave it a big two thumbs down then.

I just checked their site. Very basic, web 1.0 type site. They claim to have over 40,000 images but counting everything in all their galleries I came up with a grand total of 222. There is no hint of how you can see the other 39,778 they allege to have, no search function to find images based on keywords, only 5 broad categories with thumbnails that are more like little fingernails (tiny). Very lame marketing IMO. I cannot imagine that any publishers are using that site to find images when the there are so many out there that are far better. The 222 images they do show are nothing special either. You can see better here every day of the day.
BEWARE!!! To me (and probably 99% of anyone who goes there), this is a lousy website. Going to their galleries was a chore. Some galleries let you click on an image for only a little bit bigger view. Then you have to go back to the gallery to select another image. Other galleries at least let you step through the images. Pitiful website construction. And for a place that claims to be so great, there is no listing of their photographers. Also, none of the galleries list any photo credits! And then their email address...for a company like this, I would think they would do better than to have an email address um83@yahoo.com. I agree with the above that I doubt any company would come here for images.
