Another Grebe day
Maybe not the prettiest face on the pond but with a propulsion system as shown he keeps his belly full of fish!
Had fun watching this juvenile Pied-billed Grebe diving, catching fish and preening at the refuge.

Very cool. I like the DOF, even at f/9 you've got some nice out of focus areas. The head and eye are spot on. Well done. :toast:

Cliff, gotta know-- do you LIVE at the refuge?? You're sure getting outstanding shots there, and this one is yet another. Just love the DOF and focus point. You really nailed it. Also appealing to me is the environmental element of the bird's habitat. And last but not least- great timing to get the appearance of that enormous foot! What a kick to see that.

Matter of fact, Craig does live at the Refuge. He just runs into town once in awhile to feed his dogs and resupply.

Super catch Craig. He matches the background very well, both are "untidy."

Very nice. I like the 'clean eye' among'st it all. :)
