Shot this about 8 years ago to the day inside the Yule Marble Quarry.
I was shooting the block that has been proposed to replace the Tomb when I looked up and over and caught a worker standing in front of the light. I forgot I had a camera in my hands at first...then quickly took the one shot before he skedaddled away.
Maybe it's just me, but I could not help but think of The Unknowns when I saw him standing there.
Not a great shot, but the emotions in context with what I was shooting blew me away.

Cool shot -- the backlighting and dust really add to the mood.
Thanks gang. It sure is nice to be in the right place at the right time, with the right equipment and the right knowledge (I hope).
Sorry for my delay in responding...in NW Oklahoma under the so-called 'heat dome'. I've enjoyed about as much of this as I can stand. Looking forward to getting back to Colorado, back to home.

The light and shadows, along with the dust make this a classic workplace b&w image.
