Molas Lake Sunset
About a year and a half ago, a very special friend of mine went to be with the Lord. Years ago, when I first got into photography, he told me I HAD to go shoot this location. My first capture from years ago wasn't very good and I wanted to get this right..for his family to enjoy. This is a sunset capture from Molas Lake, Colorado...thinking of you Steve!!

You succeeded in getting this one right, Jack. I wouldn't have minded seeing more of the flowers at the bottom, but that's a real minor nit in the sceme of things. This is absolutely beautiful!

I agree about the flowers, but this still looks beautiful!

When you can synchronize your feelings and inner being with what is before you some beautiful things can emerge. This is a great example! Thanks for sharing.

You nailed it. Just think of the views your friend is enjoying. Its tough losing a friend especially one that shared the same things you enjoyed.

A great tribute to your friend, Jack. A gorgeous image. I agree I would like to see more foreground flowers, but not a deal breaker at all. :toast:

Your friend's family will certainly enjoy this tribute. Nice wam light on the peaks, cloud shapes and colors, and a peaceful reflection.
