Went out yesterday morning for sunrise with good clouds in the West but the color never happened. On the way back to the house I spotted a immature Red Tail hawk (correct me if I'm wrong) in a tree and was able to get some different poses. Had the 500 along. I learn fast- the day before I saw a Golden Eagle on a post close to the road and only had a landscape lens with me.
The first image shows some good action although there is some clutter with the tree branches.
I like a good landing, #4 for me too, but all are well captured. That 500mm is a gem of a lens. I think I can detect the sharpening halos though... Stan didn't leap on that one so maybe this cheap monitor here at work is just too bright, lol! BTW, I like #1 because of the hawk's action, don't find it too cluttered. Sure is a great way to start the morning... good reminder of how much we're missing as photogs if we let too many sunrises go by and not get out there more.
