I was in Mammoth Lakes, CA a couple of weeks ago, looking for a sunset one night. The clouds were getting good, but the sun setting behind Mammoth mountain was not good, so I looked behind me and saw this scene, looking east toward the White Mountains.
I would love to have your take on this as all comments and critiques are welcome.
Many thanks,
Frank

Frank, I like the clouds and the rain falling from them, but to me the near fence dominates the scene and leads me to the large rock and not the sunset. The near fence seems to block the eyes from traveling through the image to the distant mountains.

Thanks, Doug. This is a good observation. I am going to look through my collection of this sunset and see if I have a less obtrusive fence. Since this is cropped from a larger version, I'll try to re-work the uncropped version where the near fence isn't as prominent. Thanks, again, for your comments.
LOVE the clouds and color in this and the dramatic clouds are nice also. I do agree though with Doug's comments on the since and rock dominating the comp
