Hey everyone, I just got back from a Colorado tour of wildflowers and I think everyone agrees that this a great year!! We were in and around the Ridgway area and then up to Crested Butte for a while. I'd love to hear your comments. Keep shooting!

A beautiful patch off of a county road between Crested Butte and Mount Crested Butte. Hope you like them.

Correction to number three. That was also shot on brush creek road. The most spectacular display we saw on the entire trip!

Awesome collection Mark! I can't pick a best here because they are all great.

The flower density shown in the fields in 2&3 is great. I like #1 the best with the backlit lupine on the angled slope and the depth of the valley behind. The tilt of the horizon and cloud base seems unnatural to me though.

Hi Doug,
You're right about the horizon and I corrected it but I chose the uncorrected to post for some reason . Apparently my head has a natural tilt to it because when I look through the viewfinder it looks great then I get it home and it's crooked. I have a hot shoe level if I could ever remember to use it! Thanks to everyone for the great observations and remarks.

I like 2 and 3 best...2 is like a natural bouquet and 3 is just insane! Thanks for sharing these...especially since I have to live vicariously through them
