Oystercatcher Fly Past
Went to the beach this evening to try for some more Seal images. I set up by the water's edge and soon after these Oystercatchers came past. I cloned out the back end of one on the extreme left, but thought the other OOF ones add to the image somehow.
1D2, 500 with 2x tc on Wimbereley, ISO 250, F8 @ 1/400, polariser.
Critique welcomed.
Best wishes
Phil

Although i think its a nice image, the compostion lacks a bit. The bird on the right is "touching" the one on the left and my eye is constantly drawn to the Oysetrcatcher flying in the background.
In this image i think: 3 is too many

I dont mind the 'power'of three,I would have liked some more seperation between the middle and right bird,I think the thing that lets it down is the focusing which seems to have grabbed the wing tip rather than the body/eye of the main bird

I agree with Dave and Rene on the separation issue but I don't know where Dave is looking because the body/eye looks more in focus than the wing tip on my monitor. As a quick flight shot it works reasonably for me.

Hi Phil

Agree the seperation would improve the image - that said nice colours and a good job on the B&W!

Hi Phil,

I too agree on the separation issue, but agree with Rob - great for a quick flight shot.
