Update please on Albion Basin

I'll be coming to SLC on the 28th for a week and am hoping to shoot some wildflowers in the Albion Basin. Is the road open yet, and if so, are the wildflowers happening yet?

Well, I guess they are all up shooting wildflowers in the basins, Tony. :biggrin: Keep checking today as some will know doubt get back from their photo safaris later today. :wavey:

Oh, and by all indications from what's happening so far, it just might be a banner year for wildflowers.

Hey Tony. As of one week ago the road to Albion Basin was closed. From the gate it is a 3.5 mile hike just to the trailhead for Cecret Lake. I could see there was still quite a bit of snow still up there. I was just in another ara of the Wasatch today and the flowers were booming in some spots, but at the elevations equal to Albion Basin they were still at least a week out.
