I have a Canon 30D and I am looking at a Sigma APO 400 mm F/5.6 Multi-Coated Lens For Canon. I have heard that there is some compatibility problems with some older Sigma lens and Canon cameras. Does anyone know if this lens has any problems. Thanks for your help.
The reason I ask is that there may be some compatibility issues for lenses made in the days of film. The Sigma 500 f4.5 is probably the best known example - the older film era version of the lens does not play well with the current digital bodies.
I am not aware of any problems with you listed lens, but it has never been on my radar for purchase.
