Canon - Sigma Compatibility Question

I have a Canon 30D and I am looking at a Sigma APO 400 mm F/5.6 Multi-Coated Lens For Canon. I have heard that there is some compatibility problems with some older Sigma lens and Canon cameras. Does anyone know if this lens has any problems. Thanks for your help.

You Canon camera is digital and the Sigma lens is not made for digital unless there is a D after the identification..example**Sigma APO 400mm F/5.6 D...check closely..good luck.
