After seeing the fine work posted here, I decided to go to Crested Butte so I didn't miss out on the fun. Here are two shots, CC please. I am getting some varied feedback on Facebook, so want to know what some other photographers think. Thanks!
Wow Josh, the second is a real beauty. Love the mix of colors and the little alpenglow on the peaks. The valley below leads me right through the image. Nice work.
I'm not too fond of #1 only because #2 is so beautiful. A fine composition, nice variety of flowers, and the lit peak in the background all combine to make an excellent image. Also like how the clouds almost mirror the valley into leading one's eye to the peak.

Your second post is amazing Josh! What a terrific collection you found. The first one suffers from being in the shade and may be improved with blended exposures from one RAW file. Thanks for sharing these!
I like #2 the best! The first one seems a bit too dark and the small amount of light in the clouds doesn't create enough interest for me...but that is just my opinion.
Thanks for the feedback and kind words everyone. Yeah the first one is getting mixed reviews, it's the weaker image of the two for sure. If you'd like to view the second one larger, here it is on my website. Thanks again!

Another vote for number 2.

Again it's #2! Number 1 is dark in areas and may have been improved with neutral density filter. Number 2 has it all and needs to be hanging on your wall.
Nice job, Mark

Hey, Josh, I love #2. Great composition and processing.
We were there Saturday afternoon and thought it would be a great sunrise shot. Unfortunately we couldn't get back early enough from our campsite up Slate Creek, so I headed up Kebler Pass instead. Wish we would have camped in Brush Creek, but when we arrived Saturday morning we grabbed the first available campsite that we found.
2 is real nice, could use a little more clarity/contrast in the bg. I think 1 might have worked with a different angle, even with the high DR. Glad you got to enjoy the show!

2 is the clear favoite for me. I like how the valley still leads one past the flowered slope to the sunlit peak.
