I have been intensely jealous of all the beautiful Colorado wildflower shots that have been posted in the last couple weeks. I felt like I was totally missing out, so I went up to Albion Basin to see what was showing. I was surprised that there were relatively few flowers up, but we had so much snow this year that it appears we're behind by about 2 weeks. Last evening I drove over the Alpine Loop behind Mt. Timpanogos and found a few pretty meadows, but even on Timpanogos, the bloom is lagging by about 2 weeks. This set is all from the Alpine Loop Road.
Finally as twilight settled in I got one last composition made. I feel better now that I have something to show from the other side of the Rockies.

Awesome Michael! You beat me to the punch with a Utah wildflower post. I too noticed the bloom is behind, so that just turned my hikes the last few days into scouting missions. I love all four of these!

Like the comp on all of these. It might be my monitor, but the light in the last two looks a little strange to me. Maybe a bit of a yellow color cast?
