Last night I tried to post an image with a large view. I did my usual re-sizing to 300kb for small image and 500kb for the large. When I clicked to post the listing the program kicked it back as (paraphrasing) no images allowed over 500kb. I checked my file size for the large image and as chance would have it, it came out to be exactly 500kb (it has always worked to be at least a bit lower than 500kb in the past).
I'd guess there is an obvious explanation but technically my image was not *above* 500 kb.
Not a problem as I re-sized to 490kb and it worked out fine.
This may be of interest to someone, but no problem just confused look for me.
This has happened to me a couple times when I was just at or very close to the kb limit. I just went back and downsized the image a tiny bit and it got thru ok, as you also found.

Yea, Sandy, it is not a problem just a surprise when it happened.

I've had to knock down an image a few KB also to get it to take. I wonder if "300KB" is looking at a summary or rounding of 1,000 bits, because 300 kilobits is really 307.2 kilobits (300 x 1024). Or maybe the image size is in fact accurate but doesn't take into account any metadata. Gee, could I grab at any more straws, lol??

Grab away, Paul. By posting this little nothing of a topic it is obvious I am straw grabber too.
