Full Moon, Never Summer
I've been a little busy processing images from the wildflower season so it took me a while to get to these for posting on the forum. They were taken on Trail Ridge, RMNP during the July full moonset/sunrise a few weeks ago. First, pre-sunrise from Gore Range Overlook looking toward the Never Summer Range. Pano stitch of several photos (six or seven I think). Image blend for just a little more detail on the moon.

Second, just after sunrise looking toward the Never Summer Range with a little bit of alpenglow before the sun went behind a cloud. Pano stitch of several photos. No image blend needed for the moon since there was more ambient light available.

One of several marmots frolicking in the wildflowers and foraging for food in the early morning at the Forest Canyon Overlook.

Partial silhouette of an elk with the tundra and snowfields in the background from near Trail Ridge Road. Those guys are probably beginning to rub off the velvet right about now.

The moon is a spectacular addition to the pans. It gives the images a certain mysterious look. Elk is a great shot to. Nice work!

the after-sunrise shot is very very sweet!

Those two panos are awesome! I might avoid the image blend on the moon or redo it, as the moon is in front of the clouds, which I don't think is supposed to happen until December 21, 2012.

Really like the elk silhouette. Great color in the sky in the second image.

Thanks for posting the larger versions. I agree with Jack...that second one is drop dead gorgeous!
I really like the elk silhouette and the marmot nestled in the flowers. Every single one of these is excellent, Josh!

Love your elk silhouette! The panos are great too--first one looks perfect, the second one could use a slightly brighter sky. Nice!

Nice shots and the 2nd pano looks good though you might take Stan's advice.
