This month is my 5th anniversary with NPN. Anniversaries are a time to pause and reflect, and give credit where it is due. So here's my belated thanks for an immense amount of help with my dodgy nature photography skills --
- To Bob Steele, whose near-infinite patience with me in the first year still amazes me. More than any other single person, Bob helped me improve my photos.
- To Nate Chappell, Bob's successor, for his patient and constructive criticism.
- To the members of the NPN Avian Forum, far too numerous to mention, whose help and encouragement have been indispensable.
- To Donna and Jim, for making this wonderful service available, for nurturing the most helpful environment I know of on the web, and for their continuing support.
Bless you all.

This made me reflect on just how much this forum and its members have nurtured me over the years. Thanks to all those who have guided me in so many ways. Nicely said Jim.
Nice sentiments - but know YOU are helping the rest of us too - we all learn and grow from each other.
Happy Anniversary!
Sandy

Congratulations Jim. I have enjoyed your bird photography and your trip reports as well. This is one of the best sites to learn how to become a better photographer. Excellent penguin image.

Well said.
Patience (near-infinite patience, at that), help, nurture, encouragement, support -- important words and qualities, for sure.
Congratulations.

Carol
