The roundtables are envisioned to be ad-hoc, informal get-togethers at local coffee houses, bakeries, etc. Open to all PNWNP members and their invited photog friends, it's a great opportunity to chat about any and all aspects of PNW Photography. So, ANY member can post on the PNWNP forum at ANY TIME a suggested date/place/time with or without a specific topic.
Referring to the sticky thread about PNWNP get-gethers: John and I set this first year's worth of Roundtables to ensure that there would be at least 3 in OR and 3 in WA; and that we would host the first upcoming dates in our areas. But please, everyone, feel free to have a "coffee roundtable" get-together any time you want. We just ask that they be open to all members and posted on the forum with a little blurb about the meeting afterwards.
Topics? Some suggestions: ask questions on a topic you're interested in knowing more about; share a technique, favorite shoot/site; how to prepare for shooting in bad weather- gear for photog and camera; what's the "best" tripod; where to find wildflowers, bears, birds, bunnies or anything else to photograph; drawing a creative blank- get together for inspiration... Well, the list is as endless as your interests. Go for it!
