Hi Jim - I noticed your last comment on "Jim - Time Glitch", that said NPN was hacked. What happened? I have noticed more frequent outages recently before your recent notice several days ago but is there anything else we should be looking out for in the future? Eva

Eva, the usual scene - the server got hacked and was being used to attack other servers. We don't really know any of this happens until David gets reports from other server admins. The only positive way to deal with it is to migrate to another with an uncompromised operating system.
FWIW, we do not keep any member info on the server, other than what appears in the registration. Our membership database is entirely local (on our work station here) and all payment info (credit cards numbers) we never see - that all stays on PayPal.
So, it's more of an expensive inconvenience than anything else to have to deal with it.
