I just got a new Apple MacBook Pro with the Lion OS (10.7) and every time I click on a photo in one of the image galleries it comes up with a small blue box with a question mark in it- the image is there with the blue box in front of it. If the photo also has a larger version and I click on it, it does not have the box and question mark.
My desktop computer has the Snow Leopard OS (10.6.8) and everything works correctly on it.
Is anyone else using Lion and seeing this?

This problem was already reported here at NPN so scroll through the recent topics to find it.
The blue question mark on the small images occurs because those images are actually the background of a table with a clear gif file placed on top of them to discourage image theft. The larger images (and smaller images hosted elsewhere) do not have the clear gif overlay so there is no blue question mark.
The same thing happens when viewing from an iPhone and that suggests that Adobe Flash code may be used by NPN.
Poke around in the preferences for your browser (presumably Safari) to see if Flash is turned on. Or visit the Genius Bar at the local Apple Store and show them this reply.

Thanks Richard. I looked through the other thread. I installed Flash and there is still a problem. It seems to be an issue with just this website, I tried several other websites with image galleries and none have this problem. I am running the same version of Safari on both computers so it appears it is a problem with how this website is coded and it's compatibility with the Lion OS. I was on the phone with Apple support for about an hour and that is the conclusion we came to.
I believe you are right about the table and the gif file, when the tech was looking at a p-list file (I think) there was an item that included the words gif and table and the status said ".... not found".

Richard, I saw your comment on the other thread about it happening on the iphone too, I tried and it is not happening using my iphone, everything looks normal.

I see the same thing on my iPhone 4 so maybe it is just a software version issue..
Scott...I have the exact problem as you....this site only...installed flash..no change. And, it does not happen on my iPhone either. Been searching for a solution for a week or so....I think it's this site, too...and you'll notice that images not stored here, but linked to an individual's own site, don't show the question mark. Hope we can get it resolved...for now it's an annoyance.
