Fun image--Ridgefield a couple of weeks ago. I had a great opportunity to track this coyote for 20 minutes or so...this was right after he had rolled around in the grass. Kinda fun that it caught the head shake, but the nose and closed eyes are still sharp.

500mm, 1/500sec @ f/6.3. No crop.

Cheers,

Very cool David. I like the pieces of grass flying off its head. Looks like a fun time.

Just great! I like the motion blur- it gives meaning to the flying bits of grass around coyote's head. Very colorful summer coat. What fun.

Oh, now I like that! Great pose, and great action for a still shot. I really like the shutter speed, and the oof background isolates the coyote nicely.

The action makes him look more like a Shiba Inu/Fox Terrier mix or something. Funny how they all shake the same way ;-0.

Reminds me of our dog, she does the same thing. Great catch.
