Flash problem with T3i

Recently purchased a Canon T3i, but discovered that none of my flash units will work with it. Two units work with the T1i and one of the 3 I have will not. These are not Canon flashes. Just wondering if anyone else has run into this problem. thanks for you time.

What brand and model flashes are these? There may be compatibility issues.

Hey John, I have a 50D and found that my older Canon flash wasn't compatible. I went with a Speedlite 430EXll and it works fine. I think it all has to do OS upgrades that make the older flashes obsolete. Kinda like buying a new computer and it's already outdated before you can get it home.... Good luck.
