Water Lily w/repost
Image taken at Hughes Water Gardens, Tualatin. A great spot in Portland area for shooting aquatic flowers. This is a stack of 7 images

I know some may find the small pieces of duckweed by the lily pad distracting, but I decided to leave it in place.

canon 7D
canon 100mm f2.8 IS USM
F/22 -1 1/50 ISO 100
tripod, cable, CS4, LR2, NIK software suite

Lovely, Craig. I like the composition and the frame with purple. I can imagine the flower a little lower and to the left, just so its face is not too far right of center, but it's great as is. Very nice treatment.

Details and color are just fantastic, it really stands out nicely. I dont know what was on the right of the framing, but I agree with Marylynne. But it certainly is very nice as is.

Thanks for the suggestions, correction repost

I like this one better, Craig. It seems more balanced to me and the flower's face is looking into space instead of out of the frame.

Goodness, Craig, what beautiful work! Love the repost and really enjoy the comp with pad and duckweed as shown. I'd encourage you to post this one in the Flora IC Gallery. Some eyes oughta pop over there on sight of this!

Just a stunner Craig! The second is my pick. I too would post this to Flora.
