Hi all,

I recently moved to Vienna, Austria for my studies and I'll be living here for a few years. I love the mountains, but I'm not familiar with this side of the Alps at all. I want to do some weekend hiking/photo trips, but I don't even know where to start from. Do we have some Austrians here or people familiar with the region? Could somebody share some places that are worth exploring? I've been long thinking about doing some Alpine Ibex photos. In which part of Austrian Alps I could go looking for these magnificent animals?

Best regards from Vienna,

Andrius

Hello Andrius!

There are some Austrians here including me, Dietrich Gloger and since recently Peter Richter. As for the mountain scouting I suggest to go to my deviantart gallery and look at some of my images. Almost all of them have the name and the GPS location written down in the description below the image.
You can also go to my website and will find some great fellow Austrian photographers in the "Links" section. If you have any further questions feel free to ask.
