Just got an invite to the International Masters of Photography Book. 1 page is $780 http://wwab.us/index.php/Photography-Application/

Assuming I procured sponsorship as suggested....can anyone imagine real world benefits from this?

Paul, according to them :

"This publication will be an invaluable tool for every photographer who wants to gain new clients and commissions, to get the best value for his or her work, and to establish relationships with art galleries, and to be accepted in juried events."

Gosh, don't you believe them?

I see, for $$6800, one of your shots (of THEIR choosing) will be on the front cover.

I found this interesting thread online, about their "sister" publication, "I'ntl Contemporary Masters Book "

http://community.artspan.com/showthread.php?t=4863

This actually may be a legitimate site and an offer to consider, after lots more homework.

Is this how one gains the status of "Master photographer?" Like, Peter Lik, Rodney Lough and others who wear those titles so prominently? Or is that the Yahoo Master Photographer?.....

I can see a title or status like that perhaps being a boon for your resume and marketing, but it's only a guess as to whether or not that "investment" would prove to bring a return. agree with Sandy - some research beyond here might be warranted.

Simple, just find some billionaire heiress who is hot for an 'International Master of Photography'. Show her the book, and you're set for life! :jump:

For that money you can publish (and sell!) your own photobooks, featuring nothing but your photos. Even if you didn't sell the books but primarily used them as marketing tools (Photoshelter has a good How-To on this) you'd have spent the money more wisely.
