I remember Stan posted a thread a few days back about sunflowers. Sunflowers have started blooming - yesterday afternoon I saw a field in Mead just east of I25. I parked my car and started to shoot, there was a railway track just besides the field. I didn't enter the field and was shooting from very close to the railway track when the owners came and very rudely told us (me and my family)to leave. Her words were just like 'Since you don't have a 300 acre backyard that doesn't mean that you can come here in our backyard and take pictures'. Well - I apologized for not taking their permission (I didn't see anyone before though to take permissions)and she later became a little soft. But that ruined the whole evening anyway ..
So , I wouldn't recommend that field to be a place to go to and take pictures.
If anyone knows of any place around Longmont which is blooming right now (and where the owners allow to take pics) I am all ears.
Before they came I was only able to take a couple of shots, here is one .. thanks for looking.
I think it's neat how you got two facing the camera and others seem to be looking at the moon. They look to be almost on fire. To bad people have to rude about it. You came away with a great shot anyways.

I agree with Dean. This is a unique composition, and the inclusion of the moon is great!
It's real nice to see a unique sunflower image here.
Were this mine, I would make the yellows 'pop' a bit more. Here's how:
Image->Adjustments->Selective Color.
Choose 'Reds'. Move the 'Black' slider left to taste (I kinda liked it around -40%). That's it!

Wow, awesome shot, Soubhik-thanks for posting! I like the soft colors here. You should send a copy to those rude owners--let em know what they could see if they just opened their eyes and minds

Soubhik, I'm glad you came home with such a fine image despite those rude people.
