Taken in N. Wales. This is one of a pair in the area and they have just started gathering nesting material :)

Full frame, 1/15 second @ f8 iso 400 raw
Canon 20D
Canon 600mm f4 is usm
Processed in C1 Pro and CS2. It looks like there is a blue cast to the image but I think the balance is accurate ??

Hello Kevin

For me, this image is not doing much - the birds throat seems a bit lost in the glare of the river. I look forward to more images though as these are one of my favourite birds.

I'm not sure that there is a cast - at least not on my laptop screen.

Regards

Hmmmm, the background does seem to have odd colours, I think it is to confused for me to busy.

I think it is the pose of the bird that lets this image down,The water behind is very bright and do with a touch of shadow/highlight which would tone it down,A good effort but not quite there for me

Background looks a bit odd and to busy. Nice try though. Like the low angle.

A good attempt but the colours of the water look a bit strange, very cyan.
Hopefully you'll get some further oppurtunities.
