Here's a shot I got earlier today. I went for something a little in processing.

Wow Russ, that's very nice!

Nice light Russ!!
My only suggestion is to crop a bit off the top to 4x5 format ( I still "see" in 4x5 mode  )

Nice shot! I love those clouds! :toast:

I agree with the crop comment. Love the lighting and the two trees anchoring the image. I'm usually pretty good at identifying mountains however I'm completely stumped as to where you shot this image!

This image is a real wall-hanger...It makes you want to go to where ever it is.
Love the color and comp.

I tried to post another from the same place, that will probably give away the location, but I hit the 1 shot every 24 hours limit. Stay tuned.

"They" appear to be correct!

Reaaallly nice, Russ. I love it. What was the something you went for in the processing?

Really painterly and dramatic, Russ! I love that glow you captured on the treetrunks.

Nice comp and light! I like the processing too, but i think if you can even out the light on the trees a bit (so the bottom isnt too much brighter than the top) it would be perfect.

Super nice work Russ! Love the clouds and dramatic feel of this and also how you framed the clouds with there trees.

The crop idea would work for me, but leaving it as is works just as well. Nice comp, light, and drama.

Nice framing and light on the clouds and trunks. I think the tree tops might benefit from some more brightness/color against the clouds. Did you use a GND?

Doug, I didn't use a filter but I did do it with Photoshop. Physical filter or Photoshop, you still have the same problem with things sticking up into the "filtered" area.

I dig the dark, moody light/processing here! The gnarled trees add to the mysterious feel. Very nice!
