Wildflowers of Echo Park
Echo Park lies in the bowels of Dinosaur National Monument, on the shore of the Green River. This scene was shot last May 5th.

Those all irises? Wow!

Actually, Ken, I don't think so. I believe they're call Purple Mustard, but I have no idea why because when I crushed a few by kneeling on them, they smelled like melted crayons.

Howard, that is an incredible field of flowers.

Wow. Amazing number of flowers!

Glad you enjoyed the view. It was at the end of a very picturesque and thoroughly enjoyable 13 miles of 4 wheel drive trail down from the canyon rim. That trail was the kind of thing that led me to buy my Xterra.

What a beautiful 'carpet' you captured, Howard! Kinda wish you had taken advantage of the full 800 px (on the long side) that you're allowed here in order to savor the details better..

Amigo, I'm still trying to figure out how you do that. Maybe you can edy-cate me? How about it?

Well, when you resize the image, just ensure that the long side is 800 pixels instead of the 576 pixels you have here currently.
Not quite sure how else to explain it.

John, I tried that, but then I get the message that I've exceed the 300KB limit.

Oh, well then you need to ensure that it stays under that limit while still keeping the larger size. Might be kinda tough with that much detail, though.
