The Other Blue Lake
I wonder how many Blue Lakes there are? These are from the Blue Lake in the Mt. Massive Wilderness, elevation 12,500', taken last week. The first shot is from a small tarn near the lake in the evening. Mt. Champion is among the peaks in the background range, but I think it is slightly out of the frame and to the right.

Shadows consumed the peaks way before any sunset colors, but this big fluffy white cloud was a nice end to the shooting day.

Talus slope and Blue Lake. I don't know if these type of reflections shots are a little cliche, but the pattern here was pretty interesting.

There were still quite a few wildflower blooms. I was surprised. A primrose and stream shot from the hike down from the lake.

Love #3. Also like the light and shadow in #2.

The light in the first one is a little harsh but the other 3 are awesome! :toast:

I'm glad you posted #1 as it provides a real stark contrast next to #2. Amazing what a change of light can do!
#'s 3 & 4 are absolutely top notch, as well. Great work, Roger!
