Belmar
Had a good day at Belmar Sunday morning with the egrets, then Sunday night with a feeding BCNH. Thanks for looking.

Then caught this night heron feeding. They will put their bill in the water, opening and closing it rapidly. The disturbance will attract fish.

I really like the low angle in the NH shots. My choice is #3 with the raised right foot and minnow dinner. Wonder if a little more contrast in 2 would make it pop like 3.

Where the heck is Belmar??? These are all great shots, Dan, although I wish the subject in the first one wasn't so crowded out of the frame. Then again, I know the comp is intentional on your part, so perhaps I should look at it differently.

My favorites are #3 and #4. Like the action in both. Nice shots all!!

Thanks! Todd, Belmar is a little park in Lakewood. Around Ohio and Alameda. About 10 minutes from me. A great place for birds in the Summer.

That's right...nobody does it better! The word that comes to mind when I view and savor these is 'elegance'.
First class work from field to finish!
