An Incredible display and what a great color combo of the yellow and purple. The butte really adds a lot of depth to this as well. Excellent, Bill!

Grant, the shot was taken at the end of May.
The area was a little closed basin that collected runoff. A little oasis that caught me totally by surprise.
I had to return several times because of the wind. Fortunately I had a few days in the area.

The purple interspersed among the yellow and green make quite a contrasting and pleasing color combo. Like Nathan said, the mud cracks are a good addition.
