I need your vote! I am a finalist in Denver Channel 7's Most Beautiful Place In Colorado contest. My image is above. Please visit the attached web site, view the photos and if you think mine is the best, please vote for John Garrett...if not, you can vote for another choice. You can vote 1 time per day and they ask for your email and DOB but they won't contact you.
I know there are some people who may not think this is proper and I understand, that is why I am saying vote for the one you think is best. I would not even be in this contest if it weren't for all the help and comments I've gotten from this forum in the past 4 years. People like Todd, John M. and many others have encouraged me and given honest critiques to make me a much better photographer.
Here is the link and please tell your friends to vote as well. I appreciate everyone for helping out:

Awesome photo Jack. I'll vote according to the Chicago Election Rules. Vote Early, Vote Often!

I looked at this contest earlier in the week and saw your image. I knew you wouldn't have much trouble making it into the finals. Congrats.
I assume you read the fine print and didn't have any problems with their grabbing perpetual rights to ALL entries:
"... grants Sponsors the non-exclusive right to use that photo without further compensation (or any portion thereof) for unlimited use, worldwide, in perpetuity in any and all media now known or hereafter devised in connection with the Contest or any other programming (including television, digital download, radio) created by Sponsors and the marketing, advertising and promotion thereof."
Unfortunately, just about all corporate sponsored contest seem to have these conditions.

Well, Jack, you got my vote, but don't feel too badly if you don't win. You've got some stiff competition IMO.
Anyway, when you do win, you keep the camera; I'll take the golf weekend.

Good luck. Hope you don't lose to the fake rainbow shot! (actually, on second look, it appears the sky & sun are fake...maybe both)

I know, huh? I saw that hideous HDR shot and just shook my head.....

Not that Jack is promoting this but I will. If you have multiple email addresses, you can vote multiple times per day....and for Jack of course. Best of luck Jack.

Good luck Jack, but I don't think you will need the luck, I think your shot rocks the gallery!

I voted! Multiple times!! That rainbow picture should be disqualified for obvious trickery.

Good luck, Jack! Your image definitely stands out in that group of photos, so I was happy to vote for it. You certainly captured a really beautiful image of Shrine Ridge this year.

EDIT--ok just voted, you got my vote! its not even close IMO. the rainbow doesnt look fake to me--it just looks anemic...

thanks for the votes so far..I really appreciate it. You have a week to vote and according to the vote page you can vote daily. I hate soliciting votes but facebook dictates it anymore..if you have a big friends list it just balloons.
