I need your help please! I have a contest dealing on Monday. I have already reached my 10 photo maximum limit and want to replace one of them with one of these. Need opinions on which one I should enter (if any). Thanks!
BTW, I captured these out at Chatfield this morning. The swallows sure were hungry maybe this is why they call them swallows??

#5 (last one)

i really like #1 and #3. #1 has a sense of urgency to me due to the right bird's feet grasping for a landing place. i also like that right bird appears to be looking at the camera with a what're-you-looking-at attitude. #3 has a more complimentary background and the same sense of urgency as #1. you can't lose with any of these! Good luck!

I think #1 is the best of 'em. Best angle, best sharpness, best position within the frame. 3 would be a CLOSE second.

Number one...defintiely shows why they call they swallows! Good luck!

#1,,,,,,,,,Man your becoming the Birdman of NPN!

I'll also go with #1 as it combines the best of all of them. It was mighty tough not choosing #3, though!
You might consider cloning out that stray bit of feather on top of the bird in flight's right wing.
These are all simply masterful, and I wish you the best of luck in the contest!

Number one because I can see more of the face of the receiving bird, and still see some face of the giver. Was tempted by number 3 but the face of the receiver isn't as clear. Looks like a winner. Good luck!

I'd gladly have any of these in my portfolio but I think #1 is a notch above. I'd assume this is a momma and baby bird but they both look about the same size. Is it just a mostly-grown baby bird?

Thanks for the comments and help in choosing the right one.
Grant: correct, the perched little fat one s a juvenile, but he is almost full grown and out if the nest flying.

I would go for number 1 also.

#1 is my favorite out of some very tough choices. As John stated #3 would be tough to rule out as well.

While 1 is sharpest, I also like 2 as the juvie's head is sharp and has a good catchlight. I like the wings wrapping around. Wish the adult's head had a more open eye and catch though.
Seems like all the adults have the glazed eye and are not shiny
Preference to the body color of the adult in 4&5

Great images!! Like #1. Nice sky and both eyes are clear.
