I was just wondering what all of you photogs were going to shoot, if anything, this weekend. Or, if there are other priorities that will keep you from doing just that?

I'm going to meet up with Grant C. deep in the heart of the Navajo Nation and bug him into giving me a night (starscape) photography workshop.
Check's in the mail, Grant!

How 'bout you, Morris?

Probably sticking close to home. But, I do have some pretty nice photographic subjects literally in my backyard: the Mesa, the Monument, Uncompaghre, etc. etc. I'll bet that I get out to one of them over the long weekend

I am leaving for Teton tomorrow. Hoping to finally get a few decent Bear and Moose shots from there, but I will take anything the parks have to offer me!

I was going to Point Sublime on the North Rim, but alas, it is currently succumbing to a 3000 acre fire :frown:
Be safe with all the rookies on the roads.

I haven't made up my mind yet, John. I thought someone might give me a great idea on this post. Wherever, it will have to be fairly close to home.

Probably won't have any spare time. Getting ready for a 10 day trip to Sedona for my daughter's wedding and some family time the week after that. I WILL, however, sneak away for a couple sunsets and sunrises while we're down there...and maybe a night sky shot or two. I'll spend this weekend doing laundry, packing, all the usual pre-trip stuff.

Going to Colorado Springs on Sunday to the hot air balloon festival. For those that don't know, Mt. Evans road to the top closes next Tuesday morning.

It's looking like backpacking a couple nights at snowy range for me

Thinking of driving out to Kenosha pass and scout around a little in anticipation of fall and then maybe Mt Evans Rd on the way home (renting a 100-400). Maybe drive the peak to peak on Monday morning scouting more fall locations.

I'm prob with David on this one--Prob end up in the Snowy Range doing a little hiking and photog stuff. Too many places to choose from. I may just go find some big fish :)

You guys have lots of great trips planned. I won't be shooting but I'll be showing and selling my photos at the Gathering At the Divide art show in Breckenridge, Sat-Monday. If you get bored, stop by and say hello.

Heading out to Moab for some four-wheeling with friends...I may or may not shoot while I'm there.

Hoping to go to A Taste of Colorado on Saturday and check out Pat Travers' gig there. Been a big fan since he came along with the "Puttin' It Straight" album in 1977. Might even get out to take some pics, if the interesting weather prediction holds true.

I'm working Saturday into Sunday, so kinda shoots most of the weekend, but will probably shoot the Balloon Classic in Colorado Springs on Monday.
Right now, the weather for the balloons isn't looking great, but Monday is supposedly going to be the best of weekend. We'll see.

I'll be headed for Rocky Mountain National Park!
