Socked In
Was hoping to get some nice sunrise reflection shots of the Mountain at Tipsoo Lake, but the place was totally socked in with fog. Almost ran into some elk crossing the road on the way up the fog was so thick!

It's been a weird year in the Cascades for sure! The meadows still had patches of snow, and the flowers aren't even in full bloom yet. And it's September!

That grouping of trees is very well done; it looks like a ship coming out of the fog. Amazing flower situation this year. I have some time to roam the weekend of the 17th. Did you get any feel for how far away we are from peak bloom?

Up there John? Hmmm...about a week at least. There was still patches of snow on the Natches Loop trail! Here's a shot my girlfriend took with her P&S.

The blueberries are just starting to form. I don't think the snow will completely melt on some of these trails before it starts to snow again!

I bet this heat will melt the snow!----the single tree on the left makes this shot work well for me. Might be some nice sunrises there this week.... nice Joe!

Joe, I first went to the gallery I found nothing. Then I realize there is such a thing called forums here

So the flowers are finally blooming now. Globe warming? What globe warming?
