Canon 10d sigma 15m fisheye.

Taken a couple of days ago up scafell pike in the lake district. really like the pattern and colour of this stuff...

Wierd stuff, I've often thought of having a textures section to my website, patterns of nature are fascinating.

Hi Stewart,
Excellent variation of colours in the Lichen and the granite rocks make an nice canvas (I am sure it was granite the last time I was up there!?)

What a stunningly colourful variety of species.
I'd crop a little off the left and bottom to completely fill the frame with just the top surface of the lichen encrusted rock.
Good to see some lichens on the forum.
