Well, it was bound to happen. My old hp laptop on which I had done all my image processing for the past five or six years finally bit the dust. And it happened at a most propitious moment...on the day that I received delivery of twenty large prints to be mounted for a show at our regional Arts Council gallery. These were the largest prints I'd yet had made and a few of them revealed subtle problems with color fidelity, a bit of excessive sharpening, and other such bothersome defects that I simply had not tumbled to in the 15" screen on my old laptop. Yeah. I know. What did I expect . Well, too much , obviously. So, silver lining , of course, is that I'm now in the process of designing, with the incredibly patient and competent guidance of the folks at Puget Systems, an new desk-top computer and monitor combo far better suited to my post-processing needs. I am, due to several progressive neuromuscular and spinal column problems, incapable of sitting at a desk for more than five or ten minutes, but have worked well for a number of years ensconsed in a recliner with a lap desk and my laptop. The plan is that I'll work with a wireless keyboard and mouse/tablet on my lap desk with the CPU and monitor on a moveable cart next to my chair.
I have searched the web, as assiduously as I know how, to find a wheeled cart that would hold the CPU, external drive, and, on top, the 24" monitor and which I could easily wheel from its corner of storage to close proximity of my recliner. The few I've found are either far too large or are too flimsy and would be top-heavy with a small footprint and tiny wheels that I'm sure would tip over while I attempt to wheel it across our carpeted floor. Is anyone aware of a commercially available cart the would fill my needs? Or...will I have to have one built to my specs?
Any help and suggestions appreciated.

No, Jim,
But thanks for the response.
I'm ambulatory and simply need a wheeled cart that I can get my CPU and 24" monitor close enough that I can handle my PP with a wireless keyboard and wired mouse and/ or Wacom tablet on a lapboard in my semi-reclined chair.

Hi Dave, I just spent a couple of hours looking for a special hand cart for another purpose, not found yet. However I did run across this web site with a lot to choose from. Give it a look. Pete Jacks

Dave, in your search on the net, try looking under medical supply. We have a couple of carts at work that we use to move and store sensitive and expensive equipment.
A lazy boy for image processing, what a great find that would be.
In the meantime I found this cart: http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/480397932/computer_table_design.html
Good luck

Pete, Sharon, and Neil,
Thank you all for your suggestions and links. I think I'm close to deciding to have one made, and I got some good ideas from each of the websites to which you linked me.
I appreciate you help.
