Just an FYI...In a recent exchange with Vanguard customer service, I found out that they now have ballheads that will accept Arca Swiss L bracket mounts. They are the ABH series of ballheads and I believe the price range was $199 -$299. They are considered their top of the line ballheads. After 6 months I am still very happy with my SBH-300. Only thing that's nasty is I need a quarter to tighten and remove the plate. There's no D ring tightening thingy like I had with the Manfrotto. So I keep quarters in my camera bag...guess that might come in handy if I need to stop at a laudramat while out shooting
