Alive
Hey everyone! I'm just popping in briefly to say hello and let you all know that I'm still alive even though my lack of participation might lead you to believe otherwise. This summer hasn't turned out quite as I expected and so I've not had time to do much photography or to participate here. One of the main reasons, which I guess is a good one, is that the gallery has really taken off. We've been selling nearly double what we did last year and I just wasn't prepared for it. Instead of doing photography I'm spending much of my time just trying to maintain inventory and keep up with everything. Also, at the beginning of July I had a head injury while out cycling with my young son. It took me about a month to recover. Anyway, just four more weeks until things begin to quiet down here in Estes. I'm hoping that life will then slow down a bit. I miss all you guys and hope you've had a great summer. If you are in Estes, stop by and say hello.

Here's a link to a few shots I've taken. I have a few more but just haven't gotten them up on the web: http://imagesofrmnp.com/gallery/new/

It is great to hear that your gallery is doing so well..a wonderful position to be in if you are a retailer now days. Looks like a good business decision to locate in Estes. My daughter lives in Loveland, so I may show up on your door step to pick your brain someday. Sorry about the head injury, though.

PS. Just looked at the images....you done good, friend.

Glad to hear things are going well for you, Erik! Nice collection of images there--my favs are: Tundra Promise, Fairview Window, Chasm Breakup, and Sprague on Fire. I hope to get up there once the crowds thin out. :wavey:

Glad to see you are recovering and the gallery is doing well. Beautiful image. Love the low clouds. May need to stop by the gallery on my way through photographing the rut this year.

Man, you've got some great new work! I'm a big fan of Reaching for Stars Over Nymph and Pastel Dawn. Welcome back and great to hear your store is doing well!

Erik, I have been following your photography when you do manage to get out on FB and G+, and I always enjoy seeing your new work my friend. I apologize for not having had the time to stop by and see you in person lately, but things have been very busy for me as well. I am very glad to hear the gallery is doing well (it is well deserved), and I hope your recovery from that accident has gone well. Hope to catch up with you soon.

As for this image, I absolutely loved it when I first saw it. You really got some incredible conditions with those low hanging clouds, and that alpenglow breaking through is just amazing. Nice one for your collection.

Oh Mommy! Marvelous shot here, and a fantastic collection. Great to hear you are healing o.k.
We are going to the festival tomorrow, so we will try to stop in and say Hi!
Success couldn't happen to a nicer or more deserving guy. May the blessings continue. :wavey:

Beautiful shot Erik. My wife and I are in Estes right now on vacation and were in your gallery yesterday. You have some really nice work in there.
