Shot this a couple days ago in the Taquala Meadows area of the Wenatchee NF. The Upper Cle Elum River meanders through the meadow for several miles before reaching its headwaters. That may be Goat Mountain in the bg...not sure.
No alarm clock needed since each morning well before sunrise I was roused by the music of bull elk bugling.....awesome.
The river is full of beautiful trout and the dry fly fishing can be excellent if your skills are sharp but I only managed two to hand...so much for my skills.
The image here doesn't express the serene beauty of this jewel of a valley, compression is hurting this one but I'll definitely be returning for more.
I may have a few more to share from here.

Looks like a place for relaxing. Sometimes relaxing is doing work you want to do, not what you have to do.

Sounds like a wonderful area! I love the water meandering through the grass and far shore. The sky looks a little hot on my monitor, but the peak poking up in the distance is nice. This looks like a great shot to take with sunrise/sunset color too.

Nice colors and composition Bruce. I like how you included the peak in the background.

Saw a similar shot from this location in one of my hiking guide books I think Bruce. This is a slightly better rendition though, I think!
