Low to the ground that is. Seems like it starts with the tundra way up high, and moves down to the understory plants as it works it's way down.
The first two are quick grab shots from Rock Cut up on Trailridge Road, and shooting across Forest Canyon. I was with my wife and daughter after we went to the Scottish Irish Festival in Estes. Sorry, Erik, couldn't find a parking place within a mile of your gallery. Maybe next time.
The others are from around the shore at Clinton Creek on the way to Leadville.
By the way, if you plan to go that way anytime soon, paving operations are underway and it's down to one lane in two places. O.k. if you go up early, like before 6, but maybe plan coming back another way.
Comments and critiques always welcome, and thanks for looking,

#5 I liked the spatial relationships of the leaves in this one.

#6 Some plants are still blooming.

#7 Last one. It looked like Jack Frost tripped and spilled his paint on these plants.

Morris, great set! #'s 5 & 7 are my favorites (I like the simplicity of them).

Pretty stuff, Morris! I'm lovin the green and red.
1 and 7 are my favorites Morris. Your description of Jack Frost spilling his paint is perfect.

Thanks for the reminder. #7 is the one that rings my bells!
A little vignette and/or edge burning would go a long way, IMO.

Morris, I'm digging #2 and 1. 2 shows the vast Forrest Canyon area well. I wonder if anyone truely understands how lonely and rarely visited the Forrest Canyon/ Arrowhead Lakes area really is... Plus, your intimate perspective of that select area is top notch. I've been down in that darn Forrest Canyon for a tough trip to Terra Tomah/Arrowhead Lakes, and it's easily one of the most pristine areas of Colorado. Ya leave the road, drop 2,000-ft into a wet, mossy, no sunlight abyss of utter confusion. GPS world for sure. It's a class 3-4 bushwhack from hell, but so worth it...if that even makes sense. Bushwhack Masochists of the world unite!

Those intimate shots are so YOU, Morris! Love 'em all!

Morris, great shots all but I really like #1. The post processing is excellent. Almost looks 3D on my monitor!
