It's alive! ... sort of OT
OK, I just tried posting here and my internet crashed so this post is going to be significantly shorter

It's been months since I last posted here and I do apologize for that. To say that this year has been a crazy roller-coaster is an understatement. But I'n finally finding my rhythm and I'm able to make a lot of time for photography and processing so I was able to finally finish my website. It's embarrassing to say that the Widerange guys had their part finished in February and I just finally got around to getting it off the ground. But a huge thanks goes out to Jack and Jesse for their saint-like patience working with someone like me! You guys rock :toast:

So anyway, here it is: new website

Feel free to browse around and point out any typos or things I have missed. I trust your very detail oriented eyes a lot. And if you're interested in new work most of that will be under North Dakota, Montana, and a little in Wyoming. Oh, and just for fun I decided to add a Holga gallery since that thing is always with me

OK, now back to planning my next two weeks of fall photography! :jump:

P.S. the image above is probably my favorite of my summer collection from ND. I have been up there a lot for work and have made a deal with myself to shoot at least one image each day, no matter how boring or repetitive. It's amazing what a little discipline can do to a creative mind

Agree with Jody. Great site with great pictures and I see you are discovering Montana. I have some of the same images from Bannack. What an interesting place. Congrats to Widerange, you guys do a fine job.

Love the reflective light on the wings of the dragonfly. I can feel the warmth of the sunlight. Nice work.

Congrats on a beautiful new website!! :toast: Those WideRange guys sure do good work don't they? And you are right, they have amazing patience! Love your Montana Ghost Town images!! I didn't know you are a geologist too! That rocks!
 I wonder how many geotypes are here on RMNP??

I love the dragonfly. You're new website is great. :toast:

Another amazing WideRange creation. And your images make them look even better, Aleks. You always produce very artistic images, but your talent with the shallow dof is exceptional. I don't know if Jesse's work has influenced you, or the other way around, but I am loving the creative explorations you both are doing! :toast:

Thanks guys! I really appreciate it :)

Morris, I have had this weird love affair with 50mm super fast lenses since college. I think I was always fascinated by bokeh and I think Jesse's work has been an inspiration to push that idea further into nature. He's more of an 85mm guy but the idea is similar. He's still light-years ahead of me so that is a really great compliment

Aleks, your fine work is complimented very nicely by the great work of "The Guys". Having spent a lot of time in North Dakota, I especially appreciate the beautiful images from that gallery-- and I'm equally impressed with the rest of the galleries. All around great work, you, Jesse and Jack deserve a big pat on the back.

Cool shot, Aleks! Can't access your site from work but I'm looking forward to checking it out.

How was San Diego? Did you get any good sunset action?
