Sunrise locations along my Steamboat -> Kebler/Ohio -> Ridgway trip

I'm planning my first trip down to Crested Butte, Ridgway, etc. I'll be starting the drive Thursday the 29th from Steamboat and (unfortunately) need to be back home that Sunday night (Oct 2nd). A natural progression seems to be

Thur Sunset: Shoot Chair Mtn/Ragged Peak from McClure Pass Rd
Thur Night: Camp at Lost Lake Slough for sunrise shot
Fri Sunrise: Lost Lake shot
Fri Afternoon/Sunset: Kebler Pass
Fri Night: Camp at Ohio Pass for Sat morning shots
Sat Morning: Ohio Pass shots
Sat Afternoon/Sunset: Owl Creek Pass
Sat Night: spring for a bed/hotel in Ridgway (any local bar suggestions are greatly appreciated)
Sun Morning: Something close, like Box Factory Park (off Co Rd 9), then drive back home to Steamboat


(Feel free to tell me I'm crazy for packing this much in such a short time)

I primarily put this route together because of my top 3 (McClure, Kebler/Ohio, Owl Creek) and the option for sunrise shots (since those compositions seem a bit less available). If you have any better ideas or suggestions, I'm all ears!

My friend in Crested Butte told me Kebler would be an easy drive at night to get to Lost Lake, but if anyone has any concerns about night time driving along that, Ohio Pass, or getting out of Owl Creek Pass down to Ridgway, please do let me know. I'll be in a medium clearance SUV (White Honda Pilot with a Steamboat sticker in case you see me).

Stop in at the True Grit cafe Saturday night. I would suggest that you check the Photgraphers Ephemeris for sun and moon locations if you haven't done that already. I just checked it for Saturday, the 1st and the moon should be just over Chimney Rock if you're at the top of Owl Creek Pass. Hope this helps.

My favorite bar/restaurant location would have to be Ouray Brewery in where else...Ouray! They have unbelievable dry rubbed baby back ribs! I'm running about 2 days behind you since we are doing Maroon Bells and Crystal Mill on Thursday, Kebler on Friday and Sat., Ridgway Sunday-Weds.
