View From My Porch
My front porch faces Puget Sound and the Olympics. In the last six months that I've lived here, I've taken a lot of shots, especially when there's beautiful clouds and sunset light, which I'm priviledged to witness fairly often.

The trees in front of the parking lot block most of the sound actually, except in winter when the leaves are gone. If I lived on the third floor instead of the ground floor, I'd have an unobstructed view! Oh well, I cant complain. When I'm really motivated, I can go to the top of my block and get a full view of the sound.

I've witnessed some amazing skies since I've been here. The comps are pretty much the same, so my shots are mostly about the sky and light. I thought I'd start an ongoing series of these shots just to share with you all. If you're a FB friend, I have an album of these on there, but of course, the quality of photos posted on FB isn't very good.

Anyway, here's one I took last week. Hope you enjoy. Never forget how priviledged we are to live in the Pacific Northwest!

Beautiful sky Joe. I ocassionally get a nice sunrise at my place in Bonney Lake but they're mostly obscurred by trees. You lucky dawg.

Thanks Bruce. I love that in-your-face view of Rainier as you're going through Bonney Lake on 410!

Now you just need a nice meadow of wildflowers in front of you place  ... Beautiful color; must have very nice to enjoy the show.

Hey, Joe, you need roof access! Or a good friend on 3rd floor, huh? Pretty nice to have this scene, though, too. And "Amen!" to appreciating our region!!

Yes Catherine, roof access would be nice! Actually, I can head up the street for a better view if I'm motivated. I have a few that I'll post from there.
