Finally got around to processing a few of the 10,000 plus images from our Kenya trip. I think Rod did a good job presenting info on our trip so I will get right into some images. As you can see I love Big Cats- as a matter of fact the Disney movie out this year about Big Cats was filmed right where we were staying in the Masai Mara. One of our drivers worked for the film crew.

# 12 You could almost bet on a good sunrise/sunset like this
Congratulations on a nice collection. The hippo is my favorite. I'm anxious to see more of the landscape.

I agree the hippo shot is a classic, great catch. The others are all terrific as well. The Escher-style plains shot of all the wildebeast and zebra is another great comp that screams Africa! Can't wait to see more!

The only one that doesn't grab me is #9 with the busy background. But, the others

I like the action of the sparring impalas in 6. I thinks more of a pano crop, with the oof foreground removed, may work.
The cat in #9 may be a leopard, owing to is spots.
Of course hippo #11 is great.
Must have been a great trip. Any problems with dust and lens changing?

Doug- my mistake in quickly posting these images- # 9 is a leopard- no tears below the eyes. I had two camera bodies- 1DMKIII and 5DMKII and two lenses the 70-300L and the 500mm. Tried not to change lenses on the trail but did at times without any problems. Some areas are dustier than others. Had very large zip loc bags that would go over the camera body with the lens attached including the 500mm qwhich worked good.
