The heavenly God beams are really cool in this shot Joe. At first I was thinking a slight crop off the top might work better but on second look I like your comp. :toast:

Great view from the porch, Joe! Agree, love those beams of sunlight and the liitle patch of blue sky— a classic PNW "sun break". I'm a liitle ambivalent about the brightness in the image and think I'd maybe brighten it and saturate it a little if it were mine. It's mostly a preference thing, I guess, since I wasn't there to see the actual colors. Always the balancing act in my mind between how my "eye" saw it and how my "vision" saw it, when it comes to processing. Know what I mean? Comp is great.

I know exactly what you mean Catherine! This was taken awhile before sunset, so there wasn't much color. This was pretty much how my eyes saw it. I was actually attracted to the different layers of gray in the sky, as well as the sunbeams of course!
