Was up at RMNP this morning (and of course ran into Dan). Here are dome Elk images from this morning, but the later images explain the silly title.
This first one started the morning..this little calf with some grass.

and now, the reason for the title. On the way out as soon as I got into Estes, saw a tree'd Black Bear right on the side of the road. Only issue, is all shots were side-lit or back-lit....just no way to the other side with the river, so are the shots pretty challenging. but I guess a bear shot is better than no bear shot right??

The second bear shot is pretty nice and the second elk image is my fave of the set. I, like you, enjoy the background, it really makes it pop!

You have really got this dialed in, Kurt! The only nit I could find is the bright area behind the face shot of the bear. But, honestly, I don't know what you could have done differently.
