Hopefully (if my boss will let me have a day off) we'll be heading for Ouray this weekend (Sept. 30-Oct. 2). I've shot at the Dallas Divide, and close to Wilson Peak, and wonder if there are any other scenic locations near Ouray/Telluride worth checking out for fall colors? We may or may not be bringing our Tundra, so suggestions for places reachable in a low clearance Honda Civic would be appreciated as well. After seeing how fast color came up on the Grand Mesa, I'm excited about heading down south where there will surely be more.
Thanks in advance for the advice.

Angela, check out Darren's great info page, scroll down a bit over half way to where Owl Creek starts, lots of good San Juans info there. That being said, if you take the Honda (or or Tundra still of course) Owl Creek and Silver Jack Reservoir are a must. That whole road should be no problem. County Road 7 the same, should be fine. Like them all, use caution when they get wet. The county road like 5, 7 & 9 get unbelievably slick with a good hard rain.
I'm sure others will chime in with more, but I'd put Owl Creek area near the top of my list. Good luck!
