Very quick post, not for critique. Taken this afternoon (Monday). There is enough color in the trees to make it interesting...wish there was more snow in the peaks. I'll be there bright and early Weds AM if anyone else is gonna be around.
Can't wait until Wed morning, the color looks great! I love the mixture of greens and yellows!

Rod - too bad we can't pool down from Steamboat.
I'm flying back into Denver tonight but am going to try to make it to Aspen tonight so I can shoot the Bells tomorrow morning before having to drive back to the Boat that same day. Hope to see you and Jack there (I'll be in a White Honda Pilot with Black Mountain Hardwear jacket on).

The color appears to be coming along nicely. From what I read from the NWS, a potential hurricane off the coast of Baja CA will be sending some moisture into the southwest this weekend. I don't know how this will affect CO, but hopefully some snow will come to blanket the peaks if it gets cold enough to not rain.

Jack, where are you headed tonight? I'm either going to be at the Capitol Creek TH or the Crystal River Mill. I was in Marble yesterday at I flagged a Jeep rental Jeep down to find out how the mill was looking. He showed me a pic of the mill on his iphone. From what I saw it looked good enough for me. I want to meet a bunch of yall so I may try to make the bells sunrise tomorrow. I'll be wearing black so I'll be easy to identify.

Maroon Lake is going to be busy. I might be there tomorrow morning too. I need to be in Mesa Verde early on Thursday so I'd rather not make the entire drive from Loveland tomorrow. Might as well divide the drive into two days and shoot some foliage along the way. I'll probably be shooting Castle Creek Road/Ashcroft this evening since there is a short storm expected in the Aspen area and there could be decent light. Hope to see some NPNers tonight/tomorrow.

Kane, we are driving down tonite, camping in Maroon lot for sunrise and AM shooting. Then going to Crystal Mill tomorrow afternoon, camping there overnite and headed to Kebler on Thurs and Friday, then to Ridgway for 3-4 days. Hoping to shoot Mystic Falls from the bottom while we are there. I'll be driving a 2001 gold Grand Cherokee Laredo with Retired Army sticker on back window. I'm pretty sure I remember what you look like from the shindig so I'll look for you.

Looking good, Jack! I'll be in from california on monday. Not sure what I'll be driving as I'm renting out of grand junction...heading towards ridgway. Kane...I am in the same boat as you and would love to meet more of you guys. It'll be nice to meet up soon...I'm getting sick of the beaches.
